The feeling of belonging and knowing that you are fine just the way you are was indescribable.
Thankfully, I had the gay community and gay bars that were so accepting and showed me that there is a tight knit gay community that sticks together through the good and bad.
Coming out in the 90s wasn’t quite as accepting as it is today.
